Well done Arsenal tonight (vs Newcastle) ...just hope Liverpool can beat Chelsea Saturday (never thought I`d ever say that) but what a game to look forward to...

Chelsea will defeat Liverpool, despite your ill wishes on behalf of Arsenal's attempts to overtake the Blues in the Premiership standings. :nodsmiley

Less than 1 hour to k-off Valeogut, that`s not `whistling in the graveyard` confidence showing is it , as S. Liston used to say about Ali... there again, Ali went on to win.
Still Valeogut I see you like Stan Kenton, so you can`t be all bad ...`Live at Redlands university` what an album, can`t get it on cd over here.
Anyway, getting off the subject...come on Liverpool play well, (said through gritted teeth)...and do Arsenal a BIG favour

Something tells me your going to be watching that one on time-delay later!

Did you notice that I like Maynard Ferguson too? I saw both in concert with their bands 30 years ago, and both were unbelievable! It was difficult to stay in one's seat.

Well, there may be a bit of whistling going on in my post, but I am also confident that Chelsea will give their best. I hope that you enjoy the contest, but not the final score.

...just wanted Liverpool to win solely for TyeDyes pleasure (as he`s, a Liverpool fan) , sometimes you`ve just got to stand back, and wish others well....

I`ll try not to giveaway the result here today...let you watch it on time-delay catch you later

Oh, my prediction was accurate. Liverpool 0-Chelsea 1!

Some luck and friendly officiating helped achieve the win.

I'm happy; the no-call aided Chelsea. I wish that I had seen the play rather than just read the play-by-play. That way I could really say with complete confidence whether the official missed the call. I'm sure that colourblindchameleon will have the real-view report later. He's probably off drinking his celebration of Arsenal's victory over Charlton right now. Either that, or an entire afternoon's drinking during two consecutive games has rendered him unconscious!

I think you`re right kiwidave, that Chelsea vs Barcelona match is going to be a cracker, although I don`t care who wins that match...as long as it`s Barcelona

I suspect that you are purposely trying to agitate me with that last comment, aren't you? Well, with all of the international players--and coaches--in the Premier League, perhaps there is not the national pride involved in these games that there once was? Even so, you would never hear me say that I would prefer a Bayern Munich win over Arsenal.

However, didn't Arsenal just fall further behind Chelsea after yesterday's games?
