Steelers Vs. Pats

This game is going to be cold, hard fought and down right tough. Its what football is all about...

I give the advantage to Belechek, for his coaching prowess... but raw ability I go with the Steelers...

I must admit, the steelers were not impressive last weekend and Belechek gets ready for challenges like no one in the league today.

Bottom line = I dunno who wins this one... so, help me out

BTW, I like your polls b_squared. Good work. The Pats will give Big Ben more than he can handle... if they can shut down the Colts I don't see how the Steelers are going to be able to move the ball. The Steelers are lucky to be there.

picking the pats, and they won't have to worry about winning it with a field goal.

I'm going with the Patriots. Rookie QBs just don't get it done often in the playoffs. Plus NE is 13-0 or some gaudy number against quarterbacks the second time they've faced them in a season since 2001. I don't see that changing.

New England 17
Pittsburgh 14

Who I want to win: Pittsburgh Steelers
Who will win: New England Patriots
Why I want the Steelers to win: I'm really not sure. But no matter what, the winner of this game will win the 'bowl. That's my prediction.

I desperately want the Steelers to win but I don't think it will happen. The Patriots won't be surprised by Ben and the Steelers this time around. The Steelers have had an extremely successful season so I hope they surprise me.

If the Pats can make Peyton look that bad, what chance does Ben have?

Ben has a great pair of running backs that may help keep the pressure off a bit. I'm going to give the nod to the rookie, figuring that the Pats are due for a lousy playoff performance.

I've gone with the Steelers - no real reason for it though? What's the current spread?

The Pats are actually favored by 3 points, in Pittsburg with the lesser record !? Last week certainly has something to do with that.

Yeah...that's weird.

I'm definately goin' with my fave. team, THE PATS. They always find a way to come out on top.

Although, contrary to some posts in this thread, the main matchup isn't gonna be Roethlisberger and Pittsburghs Offense vs. The Pats D, but rather The Patriots Offence needing to crank it up against one of the best D's in the league.

The Steelers.....so long as the offense remembers that Ben can't win this for them but he sure could lose it! Keep it on the ground, quick short passes to Hines & El, get the Bus rolling. The defense can handle its job.

And remember, Las Vegas sets the odds to make people bet and the house make money. A 3 point spread is not exactly a ringing endorsement for the Patriots!!!

This game was looking to be a blowout for a while with a 31-10 score not too long ago but Pittsburgh is knocking on the door with a chance to make it a 7 point game here. Now it's 4th and goal and the Steelers are kicking a field goal. Might turn out to be an interesting game.

Game over. The better team won this game (New England).

Should be a good Super Bowl. Go Pats
