as a lifelong raider fan, even when they did move back to oakland, I'm excited. We had to sit through the St Louis Rams phase when everyone in LA claimed to ALWAYS love the Rams, even when they were here. Then the snow game where fans everywhere were confused/shocked/*. Then we got to the superbowl and all the fans claimed to be Raider fans their whole lives. Then we got smoked in the Super Bowl and all those "fans" jumped ship.
Now we got Moss, Porter and Curry to catch long balls, and LaMont Jordan to hand the ball to. Needless to say, i'm expecting "lifelong" raider fans out in LA to come out of the woodwork this season. WOOT!

I attended a Raider game a couple of seasons before. It was one of the most exciting experiences ever. Watching Raider Nation in person was hilarious. Even the women had black t-shirts which read "Real Women Where Black."
I hear if you drive to the stadium on game day, you'll see guys driving into the stadium in S500's and 745Li's and such, but with painted faces and all. Lawyers, Doctors, bums, the Black Hole unites them all.. Its more then a team, its a connecting force in the community (cue sappy music)

When I had Bears season tickets, I used to walk by all of the trailers and tailgaters on the way to the stadium. Some of those trailers are pretty amazing with satellite television and who knows what other amenities.
They are a fun team to watch.....especially when my team is beating them....Go Chargers!
LOL. At the game I went to, there were actually two friends sitting right in front of me. One was a Raider fan and the other was a Charger fan (wearing a Junior Seau jersey in Oakland). The Raiders were in control for most of the game but I believe the Chargers returned two kicks for TD's that game. The second one was actually to take the lead so the Charger fan started getting into his friends face.
The guys behind me (Raider fans of course) weren't too happy and started yelling at the Charger fan to sit down. The friend backed him up and yelled back, "He can do whatever he wants to" and the guys behind me yelled, "A real Raider fan wouldn't let that stuff happen." A fight almost broke out after that comment. It was almost as much fun watching the two guys in front going at it as the Raiders and Chargers themselves.
A Raiders fan huh? Well being a fan of a smash mouth team myself(the Steelers) I can respect that. I am also an intense Kentucky Wildcat Basketball fan, a Chicago Cubs fan, Phil fan, Dale Jr. fan and a Vols football fan. That about does it for me. I dont watch much NBA until the playoffs.
Lefty,it's gonna be a loooong way down after last year! Seriously, while I think the Steelers are still the team to beat in the div., I do believe the Ravens helped themselves immensely during the off season and will give y'all a heck of a fight. But a lot of folks are picking the Bungles;frankly, I just can't see that happening.
mdcrab43, I hope your wrong. I dont expect to repeat the 15-1 record of course but a division title would sure be nice. The loss of Burress(Big Bens favorite target) and Kendrell Bell on defense will hurt but as long as Big Ben doesnt catch the sophmore jinx and try to do to much we should be fine. I expect Ray Lewis to pick his boys back up myself bu I disagree with you on the Bengals, they worry me.
