I was reading in Golf Digest I think it was about how this course could be the best of all the TPC courses. Should make for an interesting challenge this week, and judging by the length of it, I would imagine long hitters should fare pretty well again.
So far the scoring is not that low at all. It's warm and breezy with low humidity. On a Dye course those are tough conditions. Maybe someone like Mark O'Meara will do well this week. You know, a veteran who patiently thinks his way around an unfamiliar course. Go Mark!
Bama alum, Steve Lowery, is hanging in there at 2...I'd like to see him do well this week...For obvious reasons of course, but he is a nice guy. I talked to him for a bit at the Heritage(he saw my Bama hat)...
Arjun is hanging in there. Guys like Atwal, J. J. Henry and James Driscoll have great opportunities this week. It's fun watching how they handle the situation.
And accomplished players like Clark, Singh, Harrington and DiMarco will certainly be putting some heat on these guys. I'd love to see Tim Clark finally bag a TOUR victory. He's been playing so well of late.
As for the TPC of Louisiana, here's a little critique written by Golf Digest course critic, Ron Whitten.
It's certainly an interesting mix on the leaderboard going into tomorrow. I'll take Dimarco for the win but those other guys will make it tough on him. I just think he's got a lot of confidence from staring down Tiger and not flinching Sunday at Augusta....it'll serve him well tomorrow.

This was my thinking, too. But perhaps Chris has put a little too much pressure on himself.
Before the tournament, DiMarco had said that he felt his career victory total of three just wasn't adequate for his level of skill and experience. He said he needed to start winning a bit more often.
And, going into the final round, and seeing names like Glover, Driscoll, Petrovic and Atwal at the top of the leader board, I'm sure Chris may have felt that he should be the one who emerges victorious. But he hasn't been convincing today.
Congrats to Tim "What a long strange trip it's been" Petrovic. He's one of our hometown boys up here in West Hartford, CT. Couldn't have happened to a nicer more down to earth guy. Good for cool million $$ !!
And for the new PGA course they have to do something to those greens as no one could read anything though 18 did prove to be a great finishing hole.
That certainly is a fine finishing hole...the only problem I have with it is that no one can really reach it in two save for a few of the longest guys on Tour so it's not like an eagle is a possibility should it be needed near the end. I was also impressed with Driscoll. Contrary to what Wadkins said his stroke looked very tentative on that last putt to me. But congrats to Petrovic, he made a very nice putt to get into the playoff and made the par he needed to in the playoff.
Ben Curtis is now ranked 198th in the world, Rich Beem 225. Tim Petrovic was 220 before his win which proves anyone can win a tournament at any given week. Shaun Micheel is 97, soon to be in the top 200. And I couldn't even find Paul Lawrie. Ryan Moore the amatuer who finished 13th in the Masters is now ranked 380, watch him climb the ladder when he turns pro. ( after the Brit Open).
