Yes. An amazing streak by an amazing player. Hopefully, the PGA TOUR will go back over the streak and amend it for the record book. Events with no cut should not be counted in the streak.
Well then, as I figured you'd know droogy, it would NOT be a record at all....Tiger had 111 events where he had to make a cut during the streak...which would still be short of Nelson's 113. To me, he played 142 events and finished "in the money" in all 142...exactly as Byron had to do in his day and Jack in his. I see absolutely no reason to exclude no-cut events.

Well, guys...I mean, c'mon...I guess it really boils down to semantics. A consecutive cuts made streak means exactly that. If an event has NO cut to be made, or missed, how in the world can you possibly count that?
The PGA TOUR's record book does not provide for consecutive events in the money. If it did, I could see maintaining Tiger's streak at the 142. But, again, if you're going to consider only Consecutive Cuts Made, you really should only consider tournaments which have a cut.
No, Cole, I am not kidding. And, as for the green print, golf is so green, you know? All that grass. So I thought it would be appropriate to use green font. It's also my mini-tribute to The Masters...my favorite golf tournament.
Glad to see the British Open champ doing well. I'd like to see some of these surprise major winners like Hamilton or Curtis get some wins and prove thier win was no fluke. Although I think of all the so-called "no-names" to win the majors the last few years, Hamilton has the most game.
Sean O'Hair is a great story. I'd forgotten about his issues with his father. I like the way he's been handling himself so far.
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, win or lose, it will be a critical junction in this young man's life, either a blessed first win on the PGA tour or a valuable learning experience, never to be forgotten, that will certainly lead to a stronger golfer...it will help shape him into the golfer he is to become.
I'll definitely be rooting for O'Hair tomorrow. After all he's been through it would be great to see him get a win. It doesn't appear as though there will be any overly intimidating guys to face down tomorrow, so this might be a golden opportunity. Hopefully he comes through.

Shade
No question, Shade. I really like this kid's demeanor out there. He handles himself quite well. Can you imagine contending for the first time, on the PGA TOUR, in a tournament where you're greeted by the legendary Byron Nelson? Sean will never forget this.
