To be honest, I'd heard of Wind and knew that he coined the term "Amen Corner," but in reading the title of this thread, my first reaction was...."he was still alive?!?" Sounds like he was one of the greats. He'll be missed by many no doubt.
He collaborated with Ben Hogan in writing "Five Lessons" and "The MOdern Fundamentals of Golf" also. He was a well known scribe who was widely read in the pre TV days and was able to place the reader "on the course".
