*Official* Golf Rewind 2005 U.S. Open Pick 'Em Game
The 2005 U.S. Open at Pinehurst #2 will mark the fifth major tournament held since Golf Rewind was founded and the sixth overall Pick 'Em game. The defending U.S. Open Pick 'Em Champion is sbrentt. thearn3 (2004 British Open), victory (2004 PGA Championship), Gaz (2004 European Ryder Cup team) and taylormade19 (2005 Masters).
The prize: The prize will be "Supporting Member" features and a "U.S. Open Pick 'Em Champion" seal displayed below your User Title (Weekend Duffer, Golf Enthusiast, etc.). The seal will look similar to the one displayed below but it will be for the U.S. Open.
Deadline to enter: this contest will be 5:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2005.
To be eligible: for this contest, you will need to be at "Golf Enthusiast" level. This means, you must have a minimum of 30 posts to be eligible for the prize. All other members can play but will not be eligible to win the prize. Spamming of the forum will not be tolerated and will result in your disqualification from the contest and a possible suspension of your membership priveleges.
Note: You don't need to be at "Golf Enthusiast" level when you enter but if you would like to be eligible for the prize, you will have to be at that level by the end of the contest (Sunday).
How to play:Select two players from each group (two players from Group A, two players from Group B, two players from Group C and two players from Group D) who you think will score the lowest during the U.S. Open. The lowest scoring golfer of the day will receive 20 points for that day. Each stroke worse gets 2 points less all the way down to 0 points.
For example, if Vijay Singh shoots the low round of the day with -3 and you pick him, you will get 20 points for him. If Tiger Woods follows with -2 (a stroke behind), he will get 18 points (2 points less).
In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be instituted. Select 1 player from Group A and 1 player from Group B who you haven't already picked and whoever picks the lowest combined score will win.
