A few months back we played behind a group that must have left clubs behind on 5 holes, talk about slowing down the round! It was the same guy, finally he said "these are borrowed clubs so I didn't notice they were missing". Note to self, don't lend out clubs.

To the gentleman whose foursome was passed by a single... You said it was at a slow time of the day, so I am guessing late afternoon. You may not have seen him because maybe he was an employee of the course who was not behind you for the first three holes. When I worked at a course, after work, we could take a cart and play for free. We would just have to find an open spot on the course, and just kind of jump around the course to get in as many holes as possible.

As far as the Sabbatini/Crane scenario, what I found interesting about Azinger's remarks is that he is still a Tour player, so he was ripping one of his peers. If an analyst who is removed from the game rips a player on the air, it is a little different. Azinger may still get paired with Sabbatini somewhere down the line... wouldn't THAT be something to see!

Also, someone mentioned Sabbatini and Crane playing a practice round for the US Open. I am almost certain that Crane is not in the US Open.

I'm with you there 14and18....I do it a lot of times myself....if I'm stuck behind a foursome that seems to show no interest in letting me through, and the next hole is clear, I'm by them and two holes ahead before they have time to notice and complain. I can certainly remember being a beginner once, but I can't remember purposfully holding people behind me up if I knew they were playing faster than I. BTW, what I'm saying doesn't refer to you or your wife, bompa...just many golfers in general. Retired males seem to be the biggest culprit....just because they have nothing better to do, it doesn't mean that all the other people out trying to enjoy the course should have to wait for them to lollygag around.

Thank you, I feel the same way and we ALWAYS play ready golf...if you are ready hit the ball, don't wait for someone to walk all the way across the fairway just because they are 10 feet farther out than you are

Thank you again...and by the way, I don't think he wasn't an employee. I play that course often and know most of the people there. Maybe he was one of the Marshal's that I try to avoid contact with.

Back to the original subject...yeah, Rory may have been upset at Crane, but that does not give him the right to be rude...especially when he was standing behind the pin on 17...that would really throw off my concentration.
