The Jake with a HOLE-IN-ONE!!!

Great shot by Peter Jacobsen...very cool to see an old guy playing really good golf. For those who didn't see it yet, Jacobsen's shot on the 9th hole barely carried over the front bunker, then took a big first hop right into the hole for an ace! That moved him to +2 for the Championship and just 4 shots out of the lead. He shot a 32 (3 under par) on the front nine thanks to the ace on the 9th. The NBC announcers pointed out how great it would be if he won this Open after winning the US Senior Open last year...lol, that would definitely be something never done before --- win your first USGA title on the Senior tour and then turn around and win the regular US Open amongst the young guns. What a performance for a 51 year old! He just stiffed the pin at the 10th and is looking at moving to +1 for the tourney. Go Jake! :nodsmiley

And Jacobsen buries the 8 footer for birdie at the 10th. He's 5 under in his last 7 holes...great round he's got going. If he can somehow make another birdie (maybe at 13 which is playing pretty easy) and make all pars other than that, he could finish at Even for the tourney through 3 rounds and that just may be leading or 1 back by the end of today.

That was one of the prettiest aces I've ever seen. Three cheers for PJ!
