Jean Van de Velde

http://www.europeantour.com/tourname...34&iTourID= 1

Did anyone see this

After making a double on the playoff hole, Van de Velde stood alone on the green for about 5 minutes, it was painful to watch. Even Remesy was a little reluctant to celebrate.

If there are any positives, its that he now has his card back and is in decent form, but I dont think that'll be what he's thinking about today.

Van de Velde made TRIPLE on the play-off hole. Remesy made the double bogey. At least we got to see his British Open blow-up again on all the golf shows. Poor Jean.........

It's not a fun thing to watch, only those who are sinister would get enjoyment out of something like that...I saw a replay of it and felt really bad for the guy...don't know all of the situation, bad decisions or what, but you have to feel for the guy IMO.

It never was "fun' to watch but after the 6 millionth time of watching Van De Velde self-destruct at Carnoustie, I'm beginning to see humor where there is none.

I was watching it on SportsCenter after class just a little while ago. It is funny, yet sad to watch. I can see why people think it is funny though because they are both gigantic blow ups for 2 important events. One being the Open, the other being the French Open, and the "Return of Van de Velde".

I'm waiting for the next meltdown in the Van De Velde disaster series ......."The Open Strikes Back!"

Yes, I watched it unfold on The Golf Channel. Painful indeed. What is it with these Frenchies?

I saw it as well. It was tough. Van de Velde is a real gentleman and a genuine nice guy. I felt bad for him. I hope he will be able to get the monkey of his back and win one. All he has to do is look at Goosen. The guy three-putted from 12 feet when he needed a two-putt to win the Open, yet came back the next day and won the playoff. (and I'm sure he'll bounce back from his disaster last round in this year's open as well).
