Did anyone watch Day One of the ING Par-3 Shootout last night? I just noticed in the TV guide that Day Two comes on tonight at 9:00 PM (central) on ESPN2. I looked it up on the web and Fred Couples is supposed to defend his title.
Usually I manage to catch this event at Treetops Resort (I think?? ). I guess I'll need to tune in to catch it tonight. Do you know who else is scheduled to be there? Seems like Fuzzy and Phil are always there too. At any rate, thanks for the heads up PingsRBest.
Score one for the "old guys" as Andy North wins and Gary "Obnoxious" McCord finishes second. Freddie almost had a Million Dollar hole-in-one but he and Phil brought up the rear in this little Par 3 gem.
I almost fell off my [expletive deleted ] when Fred's shot almost went in. It was funny how 30 seconds before that they were showing how Phil is always the closest to the pin on this hole for 5 of the last 6 years. Nice shot into the weeds there Phil
Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe McCord got under his skin. He wasn't playing well at all either.
It sure seemed like Phil had more of McCord than he wanted.....if you know what I mean. I enjoy a good laugh when I'm playing with my buddies but I suspect Phil and Gary aren't buddies. I only watched 8 holes and I had all I could stand of McCord. I was glad to see Andy North win but honestly.......North and McCord was the best they could do to pair with Freddie and Phil? What's up with that?
