LOL! And to top it off he buries the 40 footer with a 3 foot right to left break for eagle! This is absolutely hilarious to watch...that's all you can say. LOL.

And I have enough trouble hitting a 30 yard wide fairway most of the time.

Man, he'd be blowing Furyk away if it weren't for that little 2-over first round. I think the swing changes, when they're finally in place, will have him playing similar to today pretty much every round...which would probably have him dominating the Tour again. But, as evidenced by that first round, he's still very inconsistent right now.

Meanwhile, Furyk looks like he should make birdie (hole high after 2 shots on the par 5 11th). So, this should be a good duel down the stretch between the two. I think Furyk will win it b/c Tiger, even with his great play, can't come back from 5 down against Furyk. Furyk just seems to always hit his wedges close on pretty much every hole and I just don't see Tiger pulling it out against him.

Oops...Furyk kinda flubbed his chip at the 11th. He's got about a 15-20 footer for birdie. I think he's still got an excellent chance at making it with how good of a putter he is.

Yep, he buried the birdie putt just I figured he would. He seems to always make those.

True, but like I said it helps him a lot that Tiger spotted him 9 shots in the first round! His biggest help from Tiger's so-called "chase" is that he was 5 up on him going into today. All Furyk has to do is play solid golf (3 under or so) and it's very difficult for Tiger to catch that. Tiger will need at least 3 or 4 more birdies I think because Furyk isn't just playing solid, he's playing GREAT. Tiger can play lights-out all he wants, but you can't expect someone like Furyk to fold (he's beaten Woods before and he's just about the most solid guy on Tour).

Woods bogeys the 13th with his 2nd 3-putt of the round. I think it's safe to say that Jim has this thing won.

Yup, at this point it's Furyk's to lose. This whole charge-on-the-final-day-only-to-fade-away-on-the-last-few-holes thing that Tiger has done the last two tourney's he's been in is just a little annoying.

LOL...yeah, but like I said, that is part of his swing changes still not being ingrained enough that he doesn't even think about it. He bogeys the 14th thanks to his iron shot ending up in a tough spot in the bunker. Furyk is right in the prime of his career and has his swing right where he wants it, so it's very hard to imagine him messing up (especially with how good he is with the putter most of the time). Eventually, the Tour is gonna pay big time when Tiger finally gets the swing changes fixed to the point that he's not thinking about it anymore. And, his putting hasn't been too good either lately. Like Azinger said, Steve Williams pointed out that if Tiger had made 32 putts each round at the US Open, he would have won by 8 shots and wouldn't even need that little final round charge. Anyhow, Furyk's got this tournament won for sure and Tiger is probably thinking about how he can ensure that he doesn't make stupid mistakes at the British Open like he has lately.

Very true. I'm just glad that someone made it at least slightly challenging for Furyk because I had a feeling that Curtis would fall back and I was worried that Furyk wouldn't even need to shoot under par to win. I'm glad that he is under par and that there was some very good golf played today by both players.

Excellent victory for Jim! He showed his true professionalism today by putting his recent troubles to rest. He just refused to give in today.

And Tiger? All you can do is give yourself the opportunities, and Tiger is doing just that. During the Ford Championship at Doral, Johnny Miller said that the way you can tell if Tiger is all the way back is when he's hitting shots that nobody else can hit. We're seeing this again from Tiger. Today he hit a couple of jaw-droppers.
