look...i'm a sensitive human being. i even write poetry but i am getting sick of trurnign on golf and watching some of these dorks cry after tough losses and big wins.
ITS A GAME. A SPORT. ITS NOT WAR, ITS NOT DEATH, ITS NOT WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.
i dont care what happened to you on the way tot he top or what happened to cause your collapse...
DONT GET ON ******** TV AND CRY.
morgan pressel looked like a baby and so did michael campbell.

Reason: Language
i don't mean to flame or anything but just don't watch it if you don't want to see it. People are always going to be like that, it will never change. I don't have a problems seeing the emotions come out from the players it shows that they are human.

Reason: Bad quote
the problem is that the emotions are thrown at me from everywhere. if i turn off network coverage then its all over golf channel. if i turn on sportscenter, its all over SC.
sports are great and and good release but to cry about things just shows the fraility of the human mind.
oh and im not completely heartless here. i understand when lou gehrig breaks down durin ghis speech or jason gore gets emotional because his father died and stuff but when pressel cries for the simple reason of "i tried so hard all week" it really makes me wonder where priorities lay.

I guess we can scratch you off the list of guest speakers for the Sensitivity 101 class.
Pressel is 17 and 17 year old girls cry when the wind changes directions. She gets a pass with me but I see your point...to a point. Sports can certainly be emotional if your life is immersed in them. Remember Tom Hanks' line from A League of Their Own ?......"There's no crying in baseball." Men crying over golf is almost embarrassing to watch.
Wow... I can tell you guys that when I finally get my Grammy award, I'll shed a tear on TV... working your whole life on something and getting beat down the whole time while keeping your chin up... then finding ultimate acknowledgement of the talent you believed in throughout the entire struggle? That's powerful stuff, in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure that if I won the purses that some of these tournaments are awarding these days, I might shed a tear too...Call me what you want, but money like that is life-changing!

Michael Campbell... a baby??
I can understand why Morgan did... going up the 18th hole with a chance to win the women's US open, then the person infront with one of the slimmest chances of getting it in out of a bunker, holes it and ruins your chances.

That is a pretty narrow and single minded judgement of the human mind. There are a million legitimate reasons to bawl, emotions are what make humans what we are, I can see how one might let go after performing under the most stressful and competitive of circumstances, with millions watching.
Morgan Pressel cried for good cause and I almost cried right along with her when someone cheesy enough to legally change their name to 'Birdie' chipped in to win it

When Fred Couples cried at Houston in 2003 I thought that was a great moment, all the emotion and frustration released
Crying for wining is different then crying for losing. If an guy cried after losing a tournament that would be a bit wimpy. But Annika cried after missing the cut a Colonial and everybody thought that was sweet.

Annika only cried because she was thinking about how badly she had let VJ down by missing the cut.

It's not as "life changing" to the majority of the pros as you might think. Most of them have more money than they'll ever spend anyway. The occasional "Cinderella" winner might be so affected but most winners on tour aren't too worried about their next million.
just make the cut, just make the cut, just make the cut. these days, that's all you have to do. just make the cut each week and wa-la, there shouldn't be any whining or crying or complaining nor anyother emotion other than, geez, I'm in the money.
