Here's to Tiger

Great championship. 2 majors this year, 10 all together.

Like him or hate him, you cannot deny he is a special talent. We will be giving him the Jack Nicklaus treatment some day down the road.

Yes, congrats to the legendary Tiger Woods...the best and greatest golfer of all times. No one rises to the occasion quite like Tiger. And it's only a matter of time before Tiger smashes Jack's record for major championship victories and The Slammer's for career victories on TOUR.

Have to agree! Tiger is something else, just when it looked like Monty or Ollie were getting going Woods seemed to go up a gear , then they all collapsed anyway!
Maybe he just intimidates them all into mistakes? but if he keeps going like he is then 20 majors must surely be a possibility?

Anthony, if he doesn't mess with his swing then yes I'd say 25 majors is a possibility. Tiger has said he doesn't wanna play golf for a long time and that he'll retire at a young age, but today at his news conference he said he hoped to play great golf in his 30s AND his 40s. So, if he plays for say, another 15 years then I would think he could get somewhere around 25 by the time he's 45 or so if he plays well. Vijay is a prime example of how great you can play in your 40s, but Tiger's game could shrivel up and go away though. You never know.

I understand what you are saying, it seems to me that if he stays fit as well as motivated then he will dominate for years to come unless "Wie" opts for the Mens tour with "Martha Burke" as her caddie

LOL yeah. There's an interesting article on ESPN.com about how Tiger IS the future of the Tour and of golf, despite everyone making a big deal about all the supposed "young-guns." Tiger, himself, is essentially a young gun...he's 29 and yes he has 10 majors and years of experience, but he IS very young still and I think a lot of people forget that all too often. Here's the article just in case anyone feels like reading it:

Anthony, isn't middle-age considered 40-45 by today's standards? LOL...so if he plays till 45 Jack's record will be in severe danger...but anything could happen, especially if he gets bored or when he starts a family he might feel more compelled to spend more time with his wife and child(ren).

I have to tip the cap to Tiger on this one, he was as solid as we've ever seen from him. Now on to the speculation of future majors, Jack had a family and still kept on winning majors we all know that, it will be interesting to see if Tiger continues his desire after he and his beautiful wife Elin decide that it's time for them to start a family.

I have three and it's a major task to try and accomplish anything with the house or my side business with them at this time (7, 5 and 2)...just a twist to it all that we know may/may not have an effect on the guys level of performance...

Michelson has said he wants to spend time with his family as the upcoming years draw closer...can't blame him.

Tigermania is a justifiable affliction but the record books say Tiger has a long way to go before he surpasses Jack as the "greatest golfer of all times." Just because he's the greatest golfer of "your times" doesn't give him that title.....yet.

Yes he was my favorite golfer a while ago. Then I went to the Western Open and he just ignored the whole crowd of people when he walked by. Vijay (sp) was signing stuff, Wier was signing stuff, Mickleson was siging everyone but him. I don't if he hates us or what.

Do you notice he never smiles unless he does good?
