Do you think their professional golf careers are over? Both of these guys are two of my favorite golfers. There futures are looking more and more bleak as the weeks go on. I still look for them in every tournament and every single one I seem to be let down.

If I were you.........I'd be lookin' for two new "favorite golfers" because Duval and Parnevik are toast. I like them both too but the days of watching them play on the weekend are over.
Parnevik's come back a little bit. He was contending some of last year and early this year, but he's disappeared again. At least he's been up there. I don't think Duval's cracked 80 in 3 years, or so it seems. Duval's finished as far as I'm concerned. Parnevik may still have some golf in him.
I don't think their careers are over, but I don't think you'll be seeing too much of either in contention anymore. They were two guys I enjoyed watching as well and would love to see them regain their old form, but it just isn't gonna happen.
Duval's 5 year exemption due to his British Open win ends this year, so I guess we won't see him again (unless he starts winning)...and lets face it - what are the chances he will do that?
I'd say the chances David Duval will win a golf tournament are comparable to the chances of Lance Armstrong losing this years Tour de France...
Duval's demise has to be one of the biggest disapointments in tour history.
Reminds me of Miller who had an awesome stretch from 73-75 or 76 and just faded into oblivion.
Rumor has it Miller bulked up and never could find his form again. I think if he did, it was unintentional working at his ranch.
Miller blamed some of his downfall to chopping wood at the ranch and with his additional strength tried to kill the ball, instead of swinging the club in the correct tempo. That combined with the yips spelled the end of JM - I know he can be controversial at times, but I really enjoy his comments and thinks he's a fine TV analyst.
Duval has(had) vertigo - even if he's 'cured', I'm not sure the fire burns deep enough in him to return to the level he was. With the money he's made and a new family, I can't say I blame him if he doesn't just go on with life and give up the drive to return to competitive golf week in and week out. Seems like a really decent guy.
I thought Duval won the 2001 Open Championship, so wouldn't the exemption run through 2006? Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, he could still play a number of years on the exemptions for being in the top 50 on the alltime money list, etc. I'd like to see him go all in and give it his last best shot, as like some others here I don't believe he's putting as much effort into his game as he once did, but with the new family he has, I seriously doubt he'll have the desire to ever get back to that level.
