I think you missed the point of that quote. I read it as meaning that no one would have a legitimate point if they wanted to argue that Phil was Number One in the world. Sure makes more sense that way.
He's about as "hater" as can be when it comes to Tiger Woods. He wrote negative articles about Tiger after the Masters and British Open. And he wrote a negative one after the Buick Invitational, as well as the US Open and now the PGA. Loves to hate. Tiger's proving right now that when he drives it in the fairway, it actually makes things rather difficult on him b/c he spins it way too much. He's driving it great right now and yet he's struggling to control his ball b/c of the spin that he's producing.
