Jack and the boys will be kickin' International tail this year! :nodsmiley Gary Player might want to consider "suiting up" for this one. I see by all the hoopla around here that you International supporters are real proud of your team and you must really like your chances to win.
Hey, this one's in America (what a surprise! ) so our American boys won't have to be concerned with obtaining those bothersome passports Lefty's always complaining about.
The days of Americans losing Cups is over! First we re-established our dominance of the Walker Cup and now the President's Cup is next on the list. Jack is no Hal Sutton and his team will be spitting fire! I'll say a prayer for Gary and his sad little team.......they're gonna need it!
Nothing like a little warm-up to get the juices flowing. Both teams look good, and it should be an interesting match. Tiger vs. Vijay in the Sunday singles would be worth sitting and giving it a watch.

Back on planet Earth, I'm pleased the USA team are not having to travel , and they are playing in the same part of the world as the last Ryder Cup. I hope they reach double digits this time.
Congrats on your one point ,12 1/2 v 11 1/2 DOMINATION of the Walker Cup. Winning for the first time this millennium is really showing who's boss .Edging a tight result against a team including a 16 year old ,picking from a pool a fifth of yours must make you feel real good . If it was baseball you could call your selves World Champions , but hang on you already do..........

This sounds like excuses to me......Gee, you won a couple of recent Walker Cups but you obviously have a very short memory when it comes to that competition. If you look up the word "dominance" in the dictionary you'll find the USA's career Walker Cup record right next to it!
It was the "Rigging"of Singles Matches that Devalued this Event

If they have those matchups by doing it the same way as the last President's Cup, then not good. When Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus got together to determine the singles matches instead of each captain entering his lineup and let the chips fall where they may (like the Ryder Cup), then I lost all respect for this event. I really don't care who wins it.
The President's Cup is different than the Ryder Cup in regards to singles match pairings. The PC captains alternate choices instead of listing them all in order. That's not "rigging" the matches as it offers each captain a choice of who he wants to pit against his rivals choice. They simply alternate offering the first name.

The first time I heard about this was in 2003. That turned me off to the President's Cup. No strategy. The Ryder Cup it is not!
Golf Fanatic...you must not find many golf events worth watching, because you've found something wrong to turn you off from most any event we've discussed lately.

I generally like the majors, the Players Championship, the Ryder Cup (love that), the International, and most other events besides the WGC (maybe except for the Match Play)
My sentiments exactly. But I'll watch because I love watching good (hopefully) golf and I love that course. I hope Phil is as inspired as possible and plays well.
