VERY FEW as in at least 20% of the Tour. The only thing special about Tiger is overall game, his length with any club doesen't surprise me. Henrik Stenson or Scott Hend could bomb any club well past Tiger all day, as with tons of players on any Tour.

So do you think tons of players could bomb a driver past Tiger all day? I can only think of one, and he can't really hit it that much farther than him anyway, nor hold a candle to Tiger when it comes to consistancy.

Not quite sure how you can make a statement like that when tour players said before the US open that only one or two players have a chance of reaching the long par 5 in two. This is coming from people on tour, I would tend to believe they know best.
I don't know why it's so important to some of Tiger's fans how far he hits it. That's not what separates him from the pack, anyway. I have no idea how many guys on the various tours are longer than him... I imagine there are more than a couple. Heck, I've played with guys longer than Tiger who'd struggle to break 100.

It's so important because it's so so amazing. We watch as he smoothly swings at the ball and launches it an easy 360yards with such poise, and after such a tremendous attack at the ball he is perfectly balanced. And we sit and fathom how that is possible where if simple humans like us were to attempt it our backs would shatter like a piece of glass, not to mention or ball after it slams into that tree.

You mean the tree just like the one Tiger hit 100 yards ahead of us?

Can' agree more...the guys on Tour KNOW he is long. Why else would they say it as often as they do??
Only a few guys can keep up w/ Tiger when he really goes after a tee-shot. I think the longest when he wants to be is Hank Kuehne (sp?)...when he played the Masters as an amateur, the guys on the range stopped hitting when he pulled out driver and was bombing them OVER the net at 280yds (i've watched the video)....and remember, this was before Pro V1 et al....but Tiger has both distance and some semblence of accuracy when he is trying to hit it 350...Hank needs a compass from time to time...(unfortunately, so do I when I am hitting it a measly 250
