Any way we can send this fantastic Solheim Cup womens' team to the Ryder Cup?

Serves them right for playing football in the cricket season.

Here is why I like watching women’s sports in place of men’s:

When a female accomplishes something good, everyone is all cheery and the woman who does it is really happy and grateful to the team. When they mess up, it is kind of just like ‘eh, it happens’ and they get over it.

When a male accomplishes something good, he is like ‘eh’ or ‘yeah buddy, that was all me’, where as when a male fails he is like ‘ , someone distracted me. I hate everyone!’

Ever watch women’s softball? Much better than baseball because they don’t spend 5 hours arguing with the umpires after each call.

Also I think in general their swings are more fundamentally sound. Or so it seems to me.

At that level, all their swings are fundamentally sound. The thing that separates those who are successful from those who aren't is whose mental game is fundamentally sound.

Fine, they look prettier then. And no, I am not just talking about the girls.

From an umpire's perspective.........this isn't always the case. I've had my share of run-ins with the ladies too!

You're right about the women's Solheim Cup teams though!

...you may have the Walker Cup, The Solheim Cup and Boomers power juicer ...but I don`t think the Ryder Cup will be going to America next year.... ...

I'd be extremely surprised and disappointed if you didn't. A friendly piece of advice, if I may? Don't be quite so bold as a certain American GR member was last year. It may save you a long two years of Ryder Cup humility.

We will all dish it out before and whoever wins can dish it out afterwards. If we lose,we have to take it on the chin. We are used to losing international sports events, after 18 years of being hammered by the Australians at cricket, nearly 40 years since we won a football trophy and only one Rugby World Cup in 20 years , we 've learnt how to lose. If USa win the next ryder cup, good luck to them ,they will have earned it.And they are STILL the bookies favourite.

The great thing about next year is that it is in Ireland, where the crowds will be passionate and fair ,treating all players with the respect they deserve ,with everyone retiring to the bar for a Guinness or three afterwards.

I've seen some events from Ireland and from what I've seen.........plenty of spectators get a huge head start on that "afterwards" part!
