What has happened to Ernie Els is he injured or has he lost form because I have not seen this name on a leaderboard for a while now ?

The Big Easy hurt his knee while cruising on vacation with his family, it happened shortly before the PGA.

He not only got hurt, he had it operated on. He'll be out for a while.

As the previous posters mentioned, Ernie Els injured his knee and had to undergo at least a couple of operations. He'll be out for the rest of the season.
