I "get it," :nodsmiley but after Toms was reported to be fine and he still planned to play in the President's Cup the "seriousness" of his condition and the seriousness of the thread became a mute point. We were all concerned about his health and I would never make light of that. Nobody would.

Take a look around.......it's a golf website and it happens all the time. As moderators, we try to keep things on track (well mostly ) but when getting off track leads to friendly conversation and open discussion, we don't consider it a bad thing. Should we?
i did a photo shoot with david toms a few years back for tommy hilfigure(sp) at bethpage he was the greatest guy let me hit his clubs been a fan ever since i wish him the best of luck with the health problems great guy
Here's hoping everything turns out OK for David...he seems like one of the genuine good guys in the game.
Agreed, he's one of the best ball strikers on tour and I always liked his nice low key personality. I have renewed respect for his efforts to help the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Louisiana. He just seems like a all-around good guy.
