Here's hoping everything turns out OK for David...he seems like one of the genuine good guys in the game.

I hope he's able to play also but if not Ben Crane would be an excellent replacement.

Ben Crane? Why not Ryan Moore? Berths on the President's Cup team are earned. Where did Crane finish on the President's Cup
points list?

I agree, it's not really proper to talk about a possible replacement for next week here. He released a statement saying it can and will be treated. Hopefully life returns to normal as soon as possible for David, and if he can play at the PC next week, then good. If not, get well Mr. Toms and we'll deal with it somehow.

Well whats points list got to do with it. You want to pick the hottest golfers not the ones that earned points from last year. Ryan Moore would also do very nicely, not to mention Sean O'Hair.

You know better than that Bolt Fore. Playing for your country is earned not by being the "hot" guy but by earning the spot over time. Would selecting the hottest players increase your chances of winning? Probably, but that's not how the qualifying process works. Crane and Moore will have their opportunities.

I'm just saying why would you pick the thirteenth guy on the list rather than the hottest player which would give you the best chance of winning. We don't stand a chance with 50 year olds on our team. And a pick of Fred Couples???? Whew.

You got something against "old guys?" If they earned their way on the team, they belong there and as for Freddie............his record in these team events speaks for itself. If there's a choice to be made, give me successful experience over youth every time!

That being said.......I certainly hope Toms is healthy and ready to play for the United States in the upcoming competition.

I don't really have anything against 50 year olds I just think younger guys would do better representing our country. Funk & Couples get a good round now and then whereas Crane always seems to go low.
