Thanks' U.S. golf fans !!

I just had a call from a buddy down in San Fran. he was at the tournament, being a Scot ( like myself ) he had nothing but rants and raves about the reception the fans gave big Monty. They were so cordial and very polite and Monty even took some time to have some chat with them and he gave a little guy a ball and a glove. So perhaps it's all over, sadly Monty was the creature of his own demise in the States but he was delighted at the way the fans treated him,,,,,well done.

Monty has generally got what he deserved in USA,except Brookline. He is a grumpy ,ill tempered arrogant so and so , who over reacted to any noise/camera /person within 50 yards of his bad shot. I think it started at Kiawah Island ,when he decided that he did not like American fans. As 3/4 of th emajors are played there ,and he has an appalling record in the only MAjor outside USA, I think it was a dumb move.

Well, I'm an American, so who am I to disagree with Lefty's opinion of Monty.

in all fairness monty has made some steps to repair his image in the states. although he still has a long way to go before i consider him anything other than a jerkface (language barriers makes name-calling a lot more difficult)
