Speaking of Tiger, he's looking to be flirting with the cut line again this week. He's at -6 now, but from the looks of things, he's botching the 5th hole...he has an 18 foot putt for double bogey. More than likely he'll drop to at least -4, and the cut will probably be around -4 or -5...maybe something to keep an eye out for later this afternoon.
The tournament officials and tv people (not sure which network) must be very worried at this point. Looks like both Tiger and Vijay are not going to make it!

Six under is one **** of cut line. Right now, Tiger is -4 after 16, which means he HAS TO birdie both holes comming in or HE'S MISSES THE CUT. I'm looking at the leader board and a lot of quality player have already missed the cut. Keep in mind that there is not as much pressure on guys higher up in the money list than those trying to make the top 125. Some of these guys are literally PLAYING FOR THEIR TOUR CARDS FOR NEXT YEAR.

Disappointing performances from several front-line guys this week. Sleepwalking through a perceived nothing event, I guess.
That and having to go pretty low to just even make the cut....6 under is way low, even for PGA Tour players...one "off" day makes it impossible to accomplish.
A little trivia here that I noticed on pgatour.com....the triple bogey Tiger carded on the 5th hole in yesterday's round was his first on Tour in 3115 holes...what hole in what tournament did the last one occur on? As a clue, it was a pretty well publicized event at the time because the circumstances that led to the high score were a little odd.

British Open? Deep rough right side of fairway on the first hole when the marshals did a poor job of marking his shot?
It was just one...I can't remember how he managed a triple, but I do remember the shock of seeing how it'd happened. You'd think for a guy with a crowd that big, someone would know where the ball was.
I think that after they couldn't find his first tee shot, he re-teed and knocked another one into the deep grass. This time they found it fortunately, but he was only able to hack it out and couldn't advance it very far. He then hit it on the green and two putted for triple. That's how I remember it, because I faintly recall thinking "what if they lose this one as well!"

Well it was WAAAAAY off line, into some VERY deep rough. Open crowds are also less Tiger-centric than most.
In any case, it's Tiger's job to find his ball, or better yet not lose it.
