Can an event like The Tour Championship sell out?

I'm going to East Lake C.C. next Sunday, and when I tried ordering tickets, the lady told me that they are now sold at the gate. $45 each. Is there a chance they will sell out? Are there special tickets/passes you need to get in order to walk around freely or follow a certain group closely? Never been to one before.

No chance of selling out. You do not have to have a special ticket or anything to follow anyone around. You might have to have a special ticket in order to get into the clubhouse or into the East Lake Pro Shop. Have a good time. I would encourage you to pick a good grouping to follow.

Thanks golfhack!
Where in Alabama do you live? I'm about 3hours away from Atlanta, so it will be a nice enjoyable drive.
I'd like to see as many golfers play as possible; example: sitting in the stands or on the fringe of a green, and watching everybody land their approaches in front of me! My wife is wanting to follow Tiger Woods have no idea why.?.

It might be hard to get a good view following Tiger, especially if your wife is with you and you won't be able to be as... well, aggressive as you might be in finding a place to stand were you alone. If I were you , I'd find a grandstand or someplace that offered me a view a couple of shots and watch everyone, including Tiger.
