Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing about the "long" schedule the PGA prima donnas have to play?
I think you are misunderstanding their contention, dedstroke. Guys like Tiger and Phil are not contending that the "long" TOUR season is too grueling. They are asserting that a 48-event schedule which features way too many insignificant events and runs into the NFL season is bad for the PGA TOUR. They are concerned that many people lose interest.

You're right, but I think they're more concerned that the sponsors and their money will lose interest.:nodsmiley
Crysler Event a Good Reason Why to Dcrease from Top 125 to Top 115...

For one thing, there's not much difference between 115th and 125th. Also, players like Ryuji Imada and D.J. Trahan, who will probably be in this year's top 125, did not get into the Crysler at Tampa because of the top 125 money winners from the previous year (i.e. Skip Kendall, Frank Lickliter, Tom Byrum).

I like the "Quest for the Card" aspect to the new schedule... after the "world series of golf" the championship in September, the coverage will focus on the guys trying to crack the top 125... I beg to differ with some of you that you only want to watch the top few.... John Daly for one thing... he's 171st right now, and he draws huge crowds. Anyone on the tour is worthy of watching, from where I'm sitting.

Where did you come up with this? The PGA Tour currently lists John Daly at 41st on the money with $1,759,921.00. That's a looooong way from 171st.:nodsmiley
That's my reason for going from the top 125 to the top 115 or maybe 100. I don't want to see a bunch of mediocre players staying year after year because they have 5-10 more opportunities than the Nationwide or q-school grads.
