I still don't understand what the purpose of this picture/thread is.
It's quite obvious if you've read the news... anyway congratulations Annika, a class professional performance which the american ladies still have to follow!
I think it has to do with the Annika/Paula Creamer dispute, but I'm still not 100% certain. I think a little tension between the top players is a good thing though, and will only benefit the sport as Paula continues to grow into a big rival of Annikas, along with the other young guns.
I applaud Creamer for speaking her mind. Just because Annika is the best female golfer in the world doesn't mean she can't make a mistake. It also lets Annika know that someone else has the same competitive edge and drive to win that she has. I don't think the issue ever got ugly or heated, but Creamer wanted to make sure things were done properly. That's a lot better than having a Sports Illustrated writer contact the officials the day after and raise the question.

i've read the news and it's still not "quite obvious" to me. creamer contested whether or not annika's errant shot ever crossed land. where does annika's great wrist action enter the equation and what's that supposed to mean?

Fine for hear to speak her mind at the time - then there was an offical ruling by the umpire.
What is the purpose to pour more oil in the flames the day after - other than a tad of immature behaviour.let your action speak louder than words on the Golf Course - maybe Creamer should focus on her game.
