Cool stuff there....do you guys happen to keep in touch at all? That would be awesome if you guys do!
Naw, last time I saw Lee was probably spring 1986, just before I went to Korea in the Air Force. I was home on leave and he was home for Spring Break. We saw each other at Hooter's, said "hi!", was about it. We weren't real close, just had a common disregard for our 12th grade Physics teacher! If I saw him today, he might remember me if I told him my name, but 20+ years and 80+ pounds makes a difference!
I see the PGA has him listed as 6 ft. tall - he must have had a growth spurt in college! He wasn't more than 5'9'', more like 5'7", in high school. I was 6 ft then and was quite a bit taller than he was. A couple of years later I hit 6' 2", so maybe he grew a bit, too.
Adam Scott - wait, do imitations of the obvious ones count here? Just a funny thing to compare. He has TW's old coach, his old irons, his caddie's brother on his bag...
Meant to add: What I like about Lumpy is that he takes his work seriously, but he doesn't take himself seriously. I could learn a lesson that way, I think.
OK. Favorite player to watch: Davis Love. I know he's one of the top players but how can you ever get sick of that swing? I watched him here during the PGA at Hazeltine a few years ago and was amazed at how such a slow, effortless swing from a little skinny dude could create such power. Trying to mimic that.
As for favorite attitude, Steve Elkington. That Aussie is hilarious! Ever hear the "I saw cat" story? He also hit on my wife at same PGA Championship. I took it as a compliment.
I would have to go with Davis Love III as well. What a fluid/powerful swing from such an average/slender body style.
J.D. of course. But Fred Funk, especially, because we went to school together. He was a year behind me. He was also the "jumper" on my paper route (he'd jump off the truck with our papers). He was a great golfer back then, too, regardless of what he says now. He was always a nice guy and it seems as if success hasn't changed him.

There was a great quote from him a while back - he had gotten a trainer and started losing weight, and to paraphrase, he said:
"I gave up on it. He wanted to excercise, I wanted to nap." (referring to his personal trainer)
I think I have answered this elsewhere - but I follow Vaughn Taylor . I knew him when he was a kid at Goshen in Augusta - my son played with him some ; I played with him when he was late high school and college age . He has won twice on tour now and will be in the Masters for the first time in 2006 . He has been paired with Tiger a few times already and fared pretty well . He and Charlie Howell and Larry Mize will make 3 'local boys' in the Masters this time!
I've never thought of someone that's 6' 3" as "little skinny dude"...he may not be fat or thick, but I'd hardly call him "little skinny dude"...isn't that someone that's about 5' 5"....135?
Ever look at his shoulder size? The guy could fit in my carry bag! You are correct about his height, which is the secret to his length IMHO. I'm secretly very jealous, wish I was 6' 3" and 165.
Luke Donald for me too, a pure golf swing & never seems to swing outside his limits ,which i wish i could do ,why do i think i'm TW every time i get on the tee.
..let's see..there's Jim Furyk for his pre-shot routine...always the same.
..then there's Fred Funk for his Average Joe take on the game...he keeps it in perspective....
and finally, I'd have to say Mr. Intensity.... Darren Clarke... I appreciate anyone intense enough to talk to himself....
