One of the commentators mentioned that Rosales ticked off her playing partner by lighter a cig in the middle of her swing. I am surprised that smoking is allowed during play. Certainly not the image any Tour wants to have for its players. I know at one time Nicklaus smoked (don't know if he ever quit for that matter), but NEVER while on the course.

John Daly smokes on the course all the time. I have seen several players with cigars on the PGA and Champions. Nicklaus, Palmer, Hogan, even Snead all smoked while playing. Watch the old "Wonderful World of Golf" series on TGC and you will see it.

Yeah, now that you mentioned Daly, I've seen him on the course puffing away. The others you listed were back in the day b4 smoking became the taboo it is now, tho I thought Jack didn't smoke when competing - maybe he stopped smoking on the course later in his career. I personally don't have a problem with it, just an observation. With the way things are going trying to eliminate smoking in public places, I wouldn't be surprised that the Tours started dictating a policy of no smoking. I've played courses that don't allow smoking of any kind in the clubhouse and my course at one time banned smoking cigars in the clubhouse. Someone enjoying a smoke or a fine cigar never bothered me in the least - it's their lungs and this is still a free country.

Your right, they will eventually ban smoking in your own house, and we will be saying this used to be a free country.

Ok, Forged, curiosity got the best of me. Since you mentioned Natalie Gulbis and since I didn't know who she was, I went to LPGA.com to see if they had a bio and pic of her. Turns out that the LPGA is promoting her 2005 calender. Definitely eye candy. Sounds like from your previous posts that perhaps you've met her.

I would post a pic, but, 1) I'm not sure how to, and 2) I'm a little uncomfortable on encouraging people to post other pics that might be inapproiate (not Natalie's - all of her pics-incld swimsuit pics - are very tastefully done). This message board has been too good and don't want it to go down the path that I've seen on all other boards I've been on. For those interested, Natalie has her own website - you can link it from lpga.com

I didn't hear that story about Rosales' lighting up a smoke in the middle of someone's backswing. If true and intentional, it's not good, but I'd want to see the film or hear Rosales' side of the story before I got too down on her. Some players are annoyed if you breathe in their general proximity. I'll see if I can find additional information.

I'm sure that everyone appreciates your concern for the tone of the forum and your reluctance to start a slide down that slippery slope of questionable content that you can see so much of elsewhere.

No, I have never met her. Would I like too? Maybe, but I have daughters her age so I think they would have to bring her home for me to meet her. Besides the posts about her father are true, he is huge and looks like a founding member of the Hells Angels.:)
