I was wondering, which tournament are you following more? If you have to choose between watching both tournaments on television, which one would you watch? The U.S. Women's Open or the Western Open?
I think I'm more interested in the U.S. Women's Open this week. If Michelle Wie is in contention, I'll probably watch it over the Western Open regardless of what kind of excitement is taking place there. If Tiger is in contention (but not lapping the field) and Michelle isn't, I'll probably turn my attention over to the Western Open.
Just wondering whether a normal PGA Tour stop gets a larger following than the U.S. Women's Open.
I will follow the Cialis a little more closely, just because we have a fantasy league thru my golf league. Definitely checking up on the Womens Open. I have no problem watching womens golf, it amazes me how fluid they swing and how easy they make it look.
Western Open. When I was in school in Chicago in the early 90's, I went and had a great time. Russ Cochran (fellow lefty) was in contention with Fred Couples. Great Sunday at Cog Hill. They still play it at Cog Hill, don't they?
Yes, they still play it at Cog Hill. I used to watch the Western every year because they used to play it (prior to 1990) at a course where I worked at one summer. I've also played Cog Hill - my wife's first round was there. That was 20 years ago and I don't remember all the holes when I see it now on the tube. It's funny, but I don't remember holes 17 and 18. Remember most of the back nine, but not the last 2. Last year, I watched the women 'cause Woods was so far in front and I love the course where the women played last year (Pumpkin Ridge). This year I'll watch what ever tournament is more interesting in between a well deserved nap!.
1. Because it is their open.
2. Because I hope Michell does really well, and wins.
3. Because I hope Natalie finishes 2nd behind Michell.
4. Cause I want to hear the others cry when it all happens.

I don't know who Natalie is, but is it fair to say that she's either related to you or eye candy? Or both?
I want to see if Annika can win another major this year, and I'm curious about Ms Wie's results. I just love watching the women play, and the "eye candy" element doesn't hurt either.
Well, Michelle Wie is in contention so like I said, I'm watching the Women's Open on NBC as opposed to the Western Open on ABC. I would love to see Michelle win a major. She's at -3, 2 behind the leaders right now.
Jennifer Rosales is quite a sight, isn't she? Despite her unusual attire, I can't help but like her. Somehow she manages to carry off the clothing thing pretty well--and her play isn't too shabby either.
The woman doing the interview of the 18 yr old amatuer (can't remember her name right now - real cute blond) who shot 66 on Thurs makes me  Do not say the phrase "shock the world" especially during a golf interview - I hate that saying    Your Fired!
Love the Western Open, for its history, for the course, and for the field, but the US Women's Open is the one I'm trying to follow this week. I don't judge the women pro's in comparison to the men pro's; I try just to see them as they are. And to me they look pretty darn good. When the LPGA Tour used to have a tourney in my area, I'd go see them every year. Watching them, I felt I could learn a lot about course management, patience and discipline, on-course demeanor (except for Helen Alfredsson; at least she did her cussing in Swedish!), and short game. It's a shame they don't get more mainstream TV coverage. Not having cable, a big reason why I'm interested in them this week is that it's a chance to see them. (Unfortunately, my wife and I have plans for tomorrow, so I'll have to tape it and watch it later.)
Looks like a great final round shaping up. I'm guessing that the winner will come from one of the last two 2-somes (Sorenstam and Robbins, Mallon and Rosales). Any of these would be a good story if she wins. I can't imagine that all four of them will be passed by someone who is currently 4 or more shots off the lead, but who knows.
Rooting for Annika, I guess. My wife is of Swedish descent, so I tend to watch the Swedes on the PGA and LPGA tours. I followed her for 9 holes once; I was impressed with her quiet manner and even-tempered attitude. All in all, she's always struck me as a decent and straightforward person, someone who would make a nice friend.
Wie seems a lock for low amateur; her special exemption into the event seems to have been justified by her play. I feel the same way about her as I felt about Tiger when he was winning US Amateurs. Great talent; let's not mess it up with too much hype that could deleteriously affect her and her camp. Would love to see her realize her full potential.
