Less Than Two Weeks

Can you believe it? I'm always a little giddy this time of year. Must be the egg nog.

Looks as if Tiger will not be playing in a whole lot of tournaments this year.

I know he is so busy with everything and all... but i sure hate it when he misses out on some of the bigger events.

I am also getting very excited.

Why's Tiger going to miss a lot of big events this year? He'll miss the Mercedes but after that, I don't see any indication that he'll play anything other than his normal schedule.

Just what i've heard on ESPN and what not...i would not say "a lot"

In SI Magazine he says he needs an "off year."

He said after the Grand Slam that he'll play 25 or 26 events this coming year...while that includes his stops in late season, two-round events and such, it's still a pretty normal schedule for him. Unless his "off year" includes his wife having a child, I can't see him easing off the schedule in '06.

Perhaps Tiger knows something which he hasn't yet shared with the general public. If Elin were to become pregnant I'm sure Tiger would take some significant time off.

Plus his father's poor health may affect his playing schedule.

While of course it can't always be planned, I'd guess if anything, they'd be trying for a post-majors birth...good excuse to skip the Ryder Cup, anyone?
