Try not to worry too much.
John Cook has probably been paid to finish behind her, no matter what score she gets.

Another double bogey.
Okay, next hole is a par 5, an eagle anyone?

Let's look for some positives.
She just drove it 325 yards. I am pretty sure that is her longest drive on the pga. Her previous longest was 317 yards.
It's in the rough though.

Strange. She shot in the 60's on this course recently, now she's playing worse than many weekend golfers. It's an odd game we play.

She is in 70th place.
If we could convince all the afternoon players to withdraw from the tournament, she may make the cut, possibly.

Yes, but the top of the world rankings are full of long hitters too.
So although it doesn't mean success, it is a requirement of it.

A bit OT here. When you land off the fairway, does the distance still count in the (driving distance) stat book? This is similar to, if you putt from off the green, does it count as a putt. Statistically speaking.
PS: I'm only asking about the driving - don't answer the putting part.

Yes the driving does count if it's off the fairway.
But average driving distance is calculated on only 2 designated holes on a particular course anyway. That's the average driving stat you get.

On hole 2, Couch hit into the water, and Villages hit way to the right.
Michelle has hit into the centre of the fairway. This has happened more than once but it hasn't done her any good yet.
This particular hole is averaging 4.61 so par is pretty good here.

This is unfortunate to see...I really hoped she was going to put on a good show. A little too much pleasure is being taken at her miscues here methinks...

From 77 feet, she got to 3 feet and holed out for a par, on the most difficult hole on the course.
Her partners hit bogeys.
Good hole. Positive, positive.

Come on, she is still 7 over. That should be enough for you.
