So who looks to have a breakout year in 06?
Seeing as we are in the first full week of the season, who do you see as being able to have a breakout/successful year? This rookie John B. Holmes from University of Kentucky, who won the Q school, is sitting at 4 under through two rounds, i got to see him play some and he sure has a great game....Jeff Overton also has a great game, and looks to barely make the cut as well this week (Indiana boy, so i played high school golf against him)
so lets hear some sleepers that look good this year....i wouldnt be suprised to see a sleeper win the US Open, with how accurate you have to be on the course, and how tough the greens are there at Winged Foot.

I like Troy Matteson, Camilo Villegas, Bubba Watson, Eric Axely and Australia's Nathan Green. I think they'll all keep their TOUR cards with Villegas standing the best chance of winning a tournament.
Ryan Moore is a cut above, however. I will be comparing his first full TOUR season to those of Phil Mickelson, Justin Leonard and David Duval. Those three guys finished in the top 25 on the TOUR's money list, with Phil winning twice.

I'd have to say that all the new guys would love to be the ones who break out and have a great Rookie Season on the PGA Tour, but trying to predict who will out of the class of graduates might be a tall task or else luck.
Now the other players who've been out there a few years or so I like Lucas Glover, Joe Ogilvie and Zach Johnson.

I'll get back to you after about six or seven tournaments. The Sony was really the first full field PGA event. One event does not a season make. I'd like to sit back and watch a few tournaments before anoint anybody for a breakout season.
