Whether people are in the anti-Wie or pro-Wie camp, I think most people would agree that the 1st lpga tournament was nice, but it did lack something, and that something extra will be there next weekend.
Both sides of the issue can surely agree on that point.

We know that Pressel is able to win a US Amateur Title, but that is a long way off winning on the lpga. Neither Wie or Pressel have won on that stage as of yet.
There's a lot of "stages" that Wie hasn't won on....but I digress.

If Pressel wins 1 event out of 25, please people don't insult your intelligence by saying this proves she is a better winner than Wie. If Wie plays 25 events in a season, I would be absolutely supremely confident that she would win. Even with 8, I think she has a pretty good chance, but have to admit that the greater chance lies with the one who has 3 times as many tournaments.
This topic was beaten to death some time ago............tape at 11:00!

Both Pressel and Wie have won at the usga adult womens standard.
Wie at the Publinx in 2003 as a 13 year old.
Pressel at the Amateur Championships as a 17 year old.
Only difference really is that it took Pressel 4 years longer to win than Wie.
Maybe her closing the deal ability didn't kick in so quickly.
As regards the respective standard of the two tournaments, it could be said that the US Amateur Championships is a higher standard, but this really isn't important given that Wie bet both the 2002 and 2003 US Amateur Championship Winners in her 2003 US Amateur Publinx win.
I watched a good chunk of the event on Saturday, I didn't realize that Becky Iverson looked sooooo much like John Daly.
This weekends event should be fun to watch.
Doesn't look like Annika is in the field.

To win a much bigger tournament.

Again, you are contriving comparisons that cannot be made in golf.
I'm entering a write-in ballot...can we do that??? Creamer is my thought
If we're taking "write-in" ballots I'll go way out on a limb and say Annika.
Talent wise I'd have to go with Wie but golf tournaments aren't always won by the player with the most talent. Pressel has something to prove and I'm a softy for an underdog.

Please don't be calling Pressel a dog.
As a mod she should set a better example to the forum members.
