Nah, I'm a Tiger fan so I couldn't root for anyone else...however, of the other guys I wouldn't mind seeing win a major this year, Ernie would be on that list along with David Toms, Jim Furyk, and Luke Donald.

I was kidding about the junk food coupons. I wouldn't do that to you, or the homeless!

That would be a nice gesture on your part but I hope the homeless aren't counting on you for their next meal! I do my share for charity so the first of your "donations" will mean a good Master's victory steak on the grill for me.

I've already got my thank you message ready to send to Ernie through PGA Tour.com for the Masters....it will have somewhere in it League mentioned...LOL.

I don't think the homeless are counting on me for their next meal, they're going to be thanking you for it....

Betting against Tiger isn't the most profitable enterprise. Particularly when it comes to majors. I like my chances. My regrets to the hungry homeless.

In the last 5 years 20 majors have been played he's won 5 of them, that's 25% if I do my math correctly and that leaves 75% of the winners as not-Tiger how would that be such a problem? My Fab Four has 6 of the other 15...for 30% win rate..30% is better than 25%, wouldn't you agree?

Okay, you got me in 2005 -- Tiger 2 - FF 1, 2004, I'm eating Filet Mignon....

I don't see anyone stopping Tiger at Augusta this year, although the others may be up in the air. He didn't fare so well last time at Winged Foot, and Liverpool hasn't been in the rota for a while. Medinah would seem to suit him well as he won there in '99 but he was a little bit better off the tee in terms of accuracy then as well. I think it will be Tiger-2, the others-1 this year, with Phil taking the US Open.

I can't argue with that assessment. In fact, I'm betting on it!

I voted League. Sorry golf-a-holic, but I think 2005 was Tiger's return and 2006 will show off what he's really capable of now. Prove me wrong, remaining four...

I picked League too, but i wouldn't go this far. Dimarco almost did it last year. As for the others, though, I think it will be up to Goose. It may take Els awhile to round into top form. VJ's still struggling with the putter and this is just a hunch, but I don't think that Phil will be as hungry with 2 majors in his pocket.

Not a problem Greg or wazmankg, seems to be a split opinion amongst those who've decided to chime in on the topic...nothing personal taken and League and I are enjoying the perky conversation...I just hope we can have some breathers here until the Masters starts on April 6th....over two and a half months to go and I'm tired already...

FACTOID: There have only been three repeat winners in the history of The Masters since 1934 -- Nicklaus (1965 & 1966), Faldo (1989 & 1990) and Woods (2001 & 2002)....just thought I'd add that one....

Thanks to Tiger's own mistakes caused by mistrust of his swing down the stretch...Dimarco had a career tournament and besides that, no one else was within 7 shots. Throw on the added yardage and you're only benefitting Tiger more. Nothing is a shoo-in, but I certainly wouldn't bet against Tiger there this year.

24 years between...12 years between...logically then, the next repeat winner should be in 2007-2008. Doesn't work so well for Tiger this year then...
