Hi Guys,
Paul here from London, It's a long shot I know but I would really like to get over to the States for the Masters in April (spectate not play !!). I have heard and read about how difficult it is to obtain tickets to see play but I was wondering what options I have to at least maybe see some of the practice round. Failing that I'm relying on the good old BBC again. Any thoughts would be great. thanks.
Masters tickets are indeed very tough to obtain. Even the practice round tickets are very difficult to obtain as they've jumped in popularity from just a few years ago. I once heard that if you wanted to be on the Masters' ticket list you should try now and maybe your grandson would be put on it. I'm sure that it's not that difficult to obtain tickets and I'm sure that someone here will know how to obtain them.
If you do indeed get to go you'll be simply amazed at the place. I went in '91 and '92 and you'll not see a blade of grass that's out of place. Wear good shoes as well because television really flattens the place out. It's hilly! Good luck in your quest! Simp

Paul, this is America!...I'm sure you can get anything you want on Ebay, lol. Although I'm joking, you probably can.
Paul you can pick up as many tickets you want on Ebay. The going rate for a one day practice badge is about $200 American dollars. The cost for a Thursday - Sunday badge is about $1000 a day. Just go to Ebay and search for 2006 masters badge.
Wow thousand a round to watch I'd rather spend the money to play a weekend on Pebble beach, not to metion the fact you can see much better coverage on tv in my opinion . But good luck finding tickets....laters
Paul, Actually it is not very hard at all to see a Practice Round. I went in 2005 on a gift from a friend, the place is very special, I got a kick out of my friend who reaches down a plucked a few threads of grass for keep sake. Anyway...IF you want to see a practice round, Just go the the course that afternoon, there are plenty of people, who go in the morning, watch say 4hours, then around 2:00 leave...You can get in at least 4 hours worth for practically nothing. These people leaving at 2:00 will sell you a ticket for about $20.00 bucks...not bad for 4 hours at Augusta. I actually gave mine to someone.
