John Daly and TM

Anyone notice on The Golf Channel they interviewed Daly about his wife going to jail, he had a TM R7 hat on. I thought he was sponsored by someone else I can't think of the name. Elaborate this for me. Thanks

I think he's with Dunlop if I'm not mistaken.

I was just on his website now, and everything he has is TM except the ball which is Black Max. When did he switch, anyone know?

Hey, new year, new sponser, he's been doing better in the last couple of years, the guy wants TM as a sponser, i say more power to him, and if TM wants him as a player, WAY TO GO>>>>>>

Until he throws one of their drivers into the woods, didn't he do that with a Callaway driver once....or was it break it?

It's a guarantee TaylorMade has given him a substantial amount of money more than Dunlop has/could/would. He has been playing the TM driver for some time - with an obscene amount of lead tape on the toe. I'd bet he's playing the TM blade, RAC TP wedges, and a TM Daytona putter.

I don't remember when it was that big John filmed his episode of Playing Lessons with the Pro, but at one point he is talking and reaching into his bag for a club. There was a TaylorMade r7 in his bag. Just an observation.

Yeah, there was. I wonder just how much better the TM equipment is than the Dunlop. Think he might play better this year?

And if I remember correctly, his sponsors on his shirt for that episode were 84 Lumber, Dunlop and Redneck.

Yep, but it looks like Dunlop & Redneck have gone by the wayside. You'd think there would have been more of a noise made about such a relatively large move such as TaylorMade bringing Long John onto their staff. I hadn't heard a thing about it.

He threw one in a pond somewhere once...I can't recall where that was though, nor whether it was an issue of it slipping from his hand. Either way, I remember the fan diving in after it and coming up with a heck of a trophy!

I believe he tossed a driver over a boundary fence once too.
