Congrats To Henrik Stenson

The soon-to-be 30 year old Swede was most impressively cool in trying conditions, while winning the Qatar Masters.

This victory all but assures Stenson of making this year's European Ryder Cup team, and Henrik drew great praise from no lesser a personage than Paul Broadhurst, who declared "...he's the next special one from Europe. He's got a lot of chances of winning majors and stuff. He's next in line, I think."

Paul was right. I saw the four rounds on Tv and this Stenson is incredible, hits long and straight. On the #16, 300 yds par 4, ok it was windy during the we but : driver for eagle on friday, 3 wood on saturday and 3 iron on sunday, bottom of the green...

Last week, he made great round at Abu Dhabi and only a great DiMarco could win... Hope he'll join the ryder cup team in september...

droogy33, I`ve noticed that you `don`t miss a trick` when it comes to spotting and following players...regardless of which tour they`re playing on. It is a great win for Henrik, and yes I`ve enjoyed watching him play and seeing how his game has progressed. I think this player is now `the real deal` and I hope he goes on to win many more tournaments . The downside is that he`s no longer a secret weapon for the Ryder Cup . Monty has already made it known that he wants to be paired with Henrik....sometime during that tournament.

Henrik may bypass a few European favourites and be a/next Major winner...about time

Another exciting player to look out for over here is Jose-Filipe Lima. He`s a French/Portuguese version of Sergio, and like Stenson, he hits the ball a country mile...Jose-Filipe Lima...one to watch !!!!

You're right ! Everybody here is waiting for his good results, he was so amazing when he was still an amateur. But winning on the tour is an another deal...
