As Leaguegolf said "Waiting for the majors! That's a good one! I hope you are a patient man. "
I would be ... but
1 I won't need to be
2 I couldn't be

As for a run in Sept. If we let you
We'll keep your fans so busy partying they'll have no energy to root

For our Aussie readers - in the US "rooting" means supporting!

You mean leftside of the big pond.

We're happy to admit to going a bit crazy ; especially after beating the guys from your side of the pond.
As for individual players, I actually like some of your lot, Jim Furyk for a start.

It may be unfashionable, but I like Tiger. I think he is an excellent ambassador for the game,he handles the awful media very well , and comes across as a very pleasant ,intelligent guy.

I hope the US team don't upset the locals by declining to partake in the consumption of Poteen.

Probably wouldn't help their golf any. Those Americans would never stoop to the levels of actually having fun and winning the Ryder Cup! If that happens they might let us Europeans have some of the Major trophys

Well Paul Broadhurst (UK) just won the Portuguese today, so there is hope for British golf yet. Pity Davis could only manage a 10th place though.

And I believe we've won "our share" of Ryder Cups.
Showing your age there, many youngsters don't remember back that far. Since it became Europe instead of GB&I , USA have won a few here and there.

Yeah, it became a European thing when UK golf went through a very dry spell of active tallent imo. This however seems to be a situation that has been reversed somewhat thankfully. Though I must say the new crop of European tallent seems to be improving too. (appologies if anyone is confused by the comment I've just typed as I've never considered the UK to be part of Europe)
