Well, he just hit that 8 degree 460 cc driver off the GROUND as high as I hit my 9.5 degree 440 cc off a tee! Not only that, but he hit it about 30 yards further in the air than I would.

And of course he stiffs the 3rd shot to about a foot. 8 UP through 8.

These announcers are hilarious. You know they wanna laugh, but they're trying to be very casual about it all. LOL.

Tiger's made 7 birdies in 8 holes now, and is 8 UP on Mr. Ames. What a beating, I hope they interview Ames after the round to see what he thinks of what he said now.

The best possible margin of victory in a match would be 10 & 8, right?

Come on Tiger!

We normally chuckle when we see someone lose 4 & 3. 4 & 3 is a pretty sound beating.

Yep, that's as good as it gets and hasn't happened at this event. Not sure whether it's happened at any professional matchplay event before. The ESPN guys just said they had a 10&8 story to tell on the next tee so we'll what that's about.

Dormie at the turn...don't hear that often.

Well, Ben and Justin made it through the 2nd hole!

It's going to be tough to keep track of this match with Justin 3 or 4 holes ahead of Crane.

Man, he must be BRUTAL in a match-play situation...

1929 Ryder Cup: Walter Hagen was overheard talking about a fellow he was about to play in the singles matches, guaranteeing he would win a point. That fellow (forgot his name already ) went out and pasted Walter, 10 & 8. They said they'll they're having the USGA compile a list of 10 & 8 winners (mostly girls amateur participants in the 1950s) should it happen here.

On #10, Tiger is in the right rough while Stephen is in the fairway...not looking like a good shot for Tiger to win outright, although he's certainly capable of stiffing one.

Hey look on the bright side!

Even WE could lose 10 & 8 to Tiger! We've got that going for us! Should I quit my day job?

Although, is anybody watching this on TV? Maybe Ames withdrew at the last minute and Tiger is playing by himself...

If I was playing Crane, I would ask to play as a single, and then match cards at the end!

I'm watching it...Ames hasn't played atrociously, really. No birdies, but only two bogeys. The Tiger train has simply run him over. Ames looked pretty defeated on the 9th green.

Phil knocks off Charles Howell III 2 UP...good match there, and he faces Daly next. That should be another good one.

I can't wait to watch this in it's entirety on the DVR when I get home!

And Ames BETTER NOT duck a post-match interview!

3 footer for par to win the match for Tiger. He wins, although "only" 9 & 8.
