So much for someone's idea that there's only one girl in the world who can hit the long ball...
If those girls are hitting it that far, it is due to conditions.
There are often events where averages are much higher than others.
Last week Creamer only averaged 246 yards, and the longest player averaged about 260 or something.
Wie can still hit it longer, I can give you her stats when the tournament is over. However she isn't hitting driver off many of the tees, because it would only land her in trouble more than gain any advantage, so I don't expect her to be anything spectaculor.

Well they must be really rolling as card posted. I know I've read Creamer & Pressel address distance in interviews. I don't think either carries it much over 230.

I don't think so either...I suspect both will improve upon that in the future but Creamer averaged less than 250 on the LPGA last year and Pressel would probably struggle to get that.
One thing I noticed in watchin gthis yesterday, is that a lot of the girls have really "loose" golf swings. Some of the girls looked like they had a dumbell on the end of their clubs, going waaaaaaaay past parallel. Pressel and Creamer also have pronounced down and through moves with their upper body, and it seemed to me that Michelle had her weight out on her toes quite a bit.
Should be interesting tomorrow (or today, as the case may be). Gulbis looked fantastic yesterday (her golf game, that is).
If Wie had been hot with the putter over the two days I watched, she'd be leading by ten. She has missed so many short birdie putts. It was really disappointing to watch. But that's the way it goes.
I hope she doesn't win. I can't stand her prissiness. She had enough eye makeup on for the entire field. Hehe.
I can't say I hope she doesn't win, but she does have a bit too much makeup on. But I'm about the only male on these boards that doesn't find her atractive. I'm more of a Creamer fan. *sigh*
Meh, if I don't like someone I hope they don't win. I know.. it's not the spirit of the great game of golf, but whatever. I cheer on who I like and hope the ones I don't care for as much lose. In the end it doesn't really matter, they do their best and whoever comes out on top, does. And ummm as long as I don't lose it's all good
I'd like to see Gulbis win one. She certainly looks a lot better in her element than she does on that ridiculous reality show of hers. This is a putter's tournament to win, not a strength of Michelle's ... yet. She should snag another top 10, though... hopefully better.
