the pork pie hat guy

Hooray for the everyman. Eyes of steel, physically imposing Kirk Triplett. He listened to his wife and stayed the weekend. Sorry Duffy, you too Jerry. Both good dudes. Maybe next time Bubba. This week, Kirk was the man.

At least the 65th man. I'm checking ebay for a new hat.

The first time I heard of Kirk he came to Western Mass. to play a course called "Crumpin Fox" at that time a 9 holer, but good. This was way before he joined the Tour. But I never forgot his name. Crumpin Fox is in Bernardston, Ma. close to the Vermont state line.

Nice hat lesson, OSU Dan!

That style 37 bucket looks a lot like a porkpie, though, doesn't it?

Yeah, they do looks similar, but pork pie hats are "nice hats."(Dressier and made from better material) Bucket hats are more for sports, made of a canvas-like fabric. Whenever I think of Bucket hats, I think of Gilligan.(and Kirk Triplett)

And whenever I think of pork pie hats I think of Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle in The French Connection.
