Who will end the year #1?

Who does everyone think will be ranked the #1 golfer in the World Golf Rankings at the end of this season? Everybody thought Tiger had to look behind his back for Vijay but now, Ernie is #2 with Vijay at #3. Does anyone think either of them can surpass Tiger or will Tiger end the year at #1 once again?

I thought I read earlier this year that it is statistically impossible for Veej or Ernie to catch or pass Tiger this year. I think best case senerio for them is about this time next year.

Later,
Keith

Hey, E-D, can't you do something about that name of yours? The image that it produces in my mind everytime I see it is decidedly unpleasant. How about some Imodium?

Tiger remains number 1 for the rest of this year, at least, unless someone near the top of the list sweeps the rest of the majors this season.;)

Well, I was reading that Vijay could have caught Tiger if he fared better at the Memorial and won the U.S. Open. With three majors left in the year, I'm sure someone could catch Tiger but it's tough when he places top 5 each week even when his game isn't all there.

Tiger is playing well right now so I think he'll end the year at #1. If anyone were to pass Tiger this year, I'd pick Ernie because he seems to play better at tournaments with stronger fields. He placed 2nd in the Masters and won last week with Tiger and Vijay in the field.

i think ernie has a really good chance at overtaking tiger. i think he should be the favorite for the us open at shinnecock having won two us opens. he also has a lot of experience on links playing on the european tour and he's also won a british open.
