Red face Len Mattiace's triple bogey

Anyone else watch Golf Central last night and see Len Mattiace's scorching work around the 6th green?
  • On the right fringe with his 2nd shot.
  • Chips on with his 3rd, only to see the ball roll all the way across the green and back into the collar rough.
  • Chips his 4th short and watches it roll back off the green to about 2 yards in front of where his last shot started.
  • Chips his 5th long and winds up across the other side of the green, basically where he was laying after his 2nd shot.
  • Pulls out the old Texas wedge and hammers a putt that ends up about 15 feet short of the hole for his 6th.
  • Misses the 15 footer for 7
  • Taps in for a blistering triple bogey 8.

Gotta love those greens at Mirasol. Reminscent of Pinehurst I would say.

Brutal - simply brutal!

and then Lenny Mattice

Let me guess , at his press conference he sat there and cried like a baby like he always does ( ad nauseum).
Man , it w as great, Mike Weir, got it together those final holes at Augusta in 2003. Len ******* Mattice w/ a green jacket would make us all ..... well weep

I honestly don't know anything about Len Mattiace as a person. I was merely commenting on the highlights I saw on Golf Central. Why feel the need to trash Mattiace personally? For all I care it could have been David Toms hitting those shots. It wasn't the person I was commenting on, it was the conditions of the course.
