Camilo Villegas performance at Honda Classic

I am disappointed with Camilo villegas golf game this week so far at the Honda Classic. He did great last week at the Ford Championship so Im sure all his fans are wondering what happened. Im hoping his performance last week wasnt a lucky one and him shooting 74 average at honda isnt his normal. I dont know, maybe he is having an off tournament its just kinda weird that his swing hasnt been good at honda when it was excellent not to many days ago.

I understand that, but I think at this stage of his career it is most important that he made the cut and plays on the weekend. Experience is vital for him and he needs to be on the course during the final rounds. I'll tune in this weekend to see what he does. TY!

One of my best friends caddied for Hal Sutton for a long time and he says that course knowledge is just as important as how your hitting it.With Camillio being a rookie and seeing these courses for the 1st time there will be a lot of ups and downs in his season, because he hasnt played these courses as much as the vets. Its a huge advantage when you know the break in the "Sunday pin position" vs. seeing it for the 1st time.

Judging by the weekend scores and the type of course Marisol played much tougher this week than Doral did last week. And both Friday and Saturday the wind kicked up a little added to the difficulty. The Marisol course places a much higher premium on accuracy with your approach shots and a much heavier penalty for missing the greens. Luke Donald happens to excel at iron play so the course set up well for his game. Also if you watched this tournamment you saw several golfers hit approached shots that landed on the green and then rolled off and down slopes due to the large number of elevated greens and how fast the greens were.
