Consider yourself graced. And for the record, I would like to point out that your suggestion for this is completely and entirely, 100% different than Rodney's proposal of doing it in one tournament, which of course makes no sense (as is often the case).
I like wazmankg's idea better too.
The principle is the same, but it is fairer over a number of tournaments. At least it is getting people to put their whatevers where there mouth are.
Yes it is.
No it isn't.
Yes it is.
No it isn't.
Yes it is it.
No it isn't. a million times.
Yes, one time more than whatever you say.
Oops, the yes's have it.
This is like a bad dream.
If the yes's have it, I guess we'll shorten every sports season to one game. Whoever wins that game wins the league championship. We don't need to play 162 games in baseball, right? Or 82 in basketball? 1 is the same in principle, isn't it???

Hold on. When were you so interested in fairness.
Is it not true that you think it is fair to take a win count out of 8 events for Wie and 25 for Creamer.
Give us a break on the whole fairness issue.
PS I wonder if our conversations are entertaining for others, or as completely annoying as they are for us. Most people probably just skip them.
Please show me where I have ever "bashed" Ms Wie I'm waiting.......waiting......waiting......Ok search time is over. I'll save you the time. The answer is never! I've bashed the rankings but I've never bashed her...and I never will. I've also called her attempts on the men's tours a media circus but I've never bashed her.
I was thinking the same thing... Betcha never thought we would get lumped together

Tough talk now that your earliest posts are off the Golf Rewind boards. Bring back the earliest Wie threads! There was definitely some amount of frustration and anger out there. And League was leading the charge.
I seem to remember the following posts on Wie's mere appearance on the PGA TOUR from a certain GolfRewind poster:
"go away and come back when you've actually won something"
"she need not apply"
"It's been tried, I'm bored"
This is stuff I've never seen posted about any male sponsor's exemption, ever, anywhere, by anyone.
League, my sense is that your tone has moderated regarding Wie over time. And obviously you're far from "bored" with her PGA TOUR attempts, quite the contrary.... the evidence is all over the place. I'd guess that your posts on Michelle Wie out-number anyone else's two to one since her 1st attempt on the PGA Tour. Of course Rodney hasn't been a member here that long. Go ahead, count, I'm waiting....
It's obvious to me that some are resentful of a female getting sponsor's exemptions on the PGA Tour and the media attention they receive or both.
I really get a kick out of the phrase: "Now I'm all FOR Michelle getting a sponsor's exemption...." like the clearing of a throat.

At various times, I have stated that her participation on the PGA was based on potential and media hype, not performance, and that I watch the PGA Tour to watch the best players in the world.....not the media circus that Wie was.
Was? Does that mean that you now think it is no longer a media cirus, and now more legitamate.

I could say the same about many pga tour pros in many events. If she had a full season, she may be a factor in some event.

Competition is a matter of opinion,
but Drama???? Of course she has contributed to the drama. Her John Deere appearance was certainly drama.

In your opinion that is. However, whether she does is very much in the balance. I believe she will.
All of the tour pros have earned their way onto the PGA Tour with their clubs and have, at one time or another, beaten most (if not all) of their peers on tour. The same cannot be said of Wie.
Those pros have beaten most other pros because they have played so many events. Wie has only played 4 events and she has beaten very many pros, including the likes of Adam Scott.
Also, those other pros haven't all made their way onto tour with their clubs. There are other sponsors exemptions besides Wie.

That's just your opinion. Some people could have said the same about Tiger, when he was missing cuts by much greater margins.

Actually most people are extremely interested in Wie's pursuit of making a cut. We are also interested in how high she can place after that.

I read something in this months Todays Golfer, it was doing the golf Oscars, Michelle Wie won best actress and this is what they said.
"She has convinced the planet she's the worlds greatest female golfer, when the truth is that all she's ever won is a single amateur title - and that was three years ago"
Personally I don't understand the Wie hype, Annika is far more impressive in my eyes and at least she has earned her reputation.
