I saw one of the worst acts of spotsmanship with Hoch. 2001 Masters on the Thurs or Friday. We are standing on the 15th Tee. Faldo and Hoch head over from 14 and Faldo's towel seems like it is covered in mud. When he gets closer we realize it's blood. Figured he cut himself or something.
Anyway as he goes to place his tee in the ground his nose starts dripping blood. Quite bad too. He grabs the towel and cleans up. He jokes about how the fans don't realize that golf is a contact sport.
He cleans up re-tee's and just as he goes to start his back swing another flood of blood.. He apologizes to everyone and I look over to Hoch. He is giving the big eye roll and tapping his foot in a real exagerated way. Faldo again is apologizing and telling the fans its an alergy problem he has in spring.
He finally gets a good drive away and Hoch hits and off they go.
My friend reminds me that faldo beat Hoch in a playoff at the Masters. Ha Ha Ha.

I hope you realize that Scott Hoch was in my Not Favorites category. I have copied from my original posting below. I just wanted to set my record straight. Hoch is a jerk, and I will never root for him.
Not Favorites
Tiger - How about enjoying and smiling about being the greatest player once for real
Scott Hoch - Always compaining; seemed to be a whiner
Monty - Always complaining
I've put in my faves and hates of current players but would like to mention past and senior tour players so I'm going to start another thread for all timers.
Those of us who are Seniors may be able to share some good memories.
Favs: Els, Woods, Daly
All fun to watch and seem nice guys.
Not so much favs: Sabbatini, Garcia
We all know why Sabbatini is there, and Garcia is there only because I really hate that he always seems to blame something other then himself when he misses the put, imperfection in the green, his ball, the fans or whatever.
Can't name the third, cause there is noone else that I don't like to watch.
