geesh whats the reason for not liking mickelson??????
I remember watching this charity pro-am in Ireland and all the pros were signing for the kids coming up 18. Even Tiger was signing, but good 'ol Phil wouldn't sign and it has left a very bad taste in my mouth about him. 3 feet from him but he won't sign his name for me! Padrag Harrington, Greg Owen and Davis Love III were the best, calling children over to sign autographs as the amatuers hit their shots. That's what I love about some of the pros, they know that they're millionaires because of the fans. It only takes 2 seconds, but lasts in the lifetime of the golf fan
really? wow, ive seen the complete 180 from tiger everywhere ive been. but i just chalked it up to hes prolly tired of it by now. thats ashame about mickelson.

I think you can catch anyone on a bad day and come away with an unfavorable impression of them. By most accounts, Phil is one of the most generous pros with his time by signing many, many autographs after every round. I tend not to put too much stock into one person's negative experience with a person, but you're entitled to share your own stories any time.
Nancy Lopez---always has been a pleasant ambassador for ANY golf sector. I've met her several times and she always looked at you, not thru, when engaging in conversation.
Fred Couples--smooth operator. I also root for him because I grew up with his caddy Joe back home in Newtown, Ct. He's also a great guy.
Jack & Barbara Nicklaus---Just because he's Jack....and Barbara has been there with him thru the entire journey.
Not So Favorites:
Scott Hoch--or should I say "choke"...and a whiner???? Please pass the cheese!
Vijay Singh--consumate competitor, but can't get past the story of him "cheating". Yes, we know there's a living to be made, but just like a movie star...being very good at what you do in the public eye is a tough juggle.
Sergio Garcia--Always include him in my tournament pools, but he never comes to be....he "poops the bed" A flicker and fire of Seve, but without the wins.
Tiger Woods - best of his era, maybe the best ever, always worth watching even - or especially - when he is grinding
Adam Scott - fantastic swing, almost painful to watch him putt, but what a great ball striker
Doug Labelle II - 1st year player, grew up on my uncle's club, comes from a nice family, good guy who is off to a decent start (around 74th), short but accurate
3 least favorites:
DL III - a lot of his peers think he's a wuss, and I'd agree - always thought he was a whiner and a bit prissy
Phil - strikes me as insincere phony; rep is he tries to be an intimidating bully in the lockeroom, which is just silly for someone of his stature
David Toms - 2 things put me off about him: sued his agent (I know his CPA, it was over petty stuff), then flipping off that heckler at the Memorial
1. Tiger Woods. This is a weird one because I respect his game and like him as a golfer but I almost always cheer against him to win. I guess I just want to see a rivalry break out and cheering for Tiger to win is almost like cheering for the Yankees to win.
2. Ernie Els. He's probably my favorite golfer. I don't know what it is but I just like his demeanor.
3. Fred Couples. I also like his demeanor on the course.
Dislike:
1. Tiger Woods. Kind of weird because I listed him as a golfer I like most but he's really the only golfer I consistently root against.
Like:
1. John Daly - Not a superman, has every flaw in the book, I just find it hard not to root for a guy that handled fame and fortune most likely the same way I would.
2. Hal Sutton - Being that I am a native Texas but went to High School in the 80's in Shreveport, La. (His home Town) and College in Lousiana, (although I am back in Texas again Thank God) I find it hard to be a Hal fan. Plus we both wear Cowboy Hats, have the same build, and love the Hill Country of South Texas.
3. Lee Trevino - Nuff Said
Dislike:
1. Phil - I have had an on again off again thing with him, right now I off of him for I guess the last time. Just tired of him.
2. Faldo - Everytime he opens his month I wish he wouldn't.
3. Shingo Katayama - Everytime I see him with that hat on I just want to knock it off his head.
Favs- Fred Couples, Chris Demarco, Padraig Harrington
Non-favs- Tiger Woods(same reason i hate the yankees, same person winning over and over again), Boo Weekley (Where's the nascar race), Stephen Ames (acts like his you know what doens't stink)
This is difficult b/c you can only pick three for each catagory. I'm only gonna choose from current PGA players.
FAVORITES - Fred Couples, Geoff Ogilvy, Tiger Woods
LEAST FAVES - Sergio Garcia, Rory Sabbetini, Tiger Woods(sometimes I love to hate him - mostly b/c he wins so much)
