Yeah and Duval doesn't have the excuse of being from the geriatric set, he's what, 35 years old?

He should retire after this year. Maybe he will lose his tour card anyway since it's been 5 years since his major victory.

Duval is the biggest enigma in professional golf and an example of why it's a highly psychological game.

Errr I think its more an example of a unbalance mind than it is of the game of golf.

But the mind is a powerful thing... so perhaps we will see him at number 2 again...

I didnt think he was even as old as 35.... but he could well be since the years have been flying by lately....

Id love to see him playing well again. He used to be my fave player (mainly because I had the same inherent swing flaws he did) but now I would rather he chucked it in and wasnt always looking embrassingly bad.... maybe he needs the money....(not that he is earning much).

Or perhaps we should club together and buy him a 'q-link'..... that will sort him out right away....

Sad to see...he seemed to be playing well early this season and for this to happen must be a bit of a setback. I'm afraid this season will probably be the last we'll see of Mr. Duval.

He must not practice. I refuse to believe a bad marriage breakup has caused him
to play so poorly. Like I tell my sons, no practice no good play. Ben hogan would roll over in his grave at Duvalls work ethic I think.

As much as I'd love to see David Duval make a comeback, I don't think it will happen. The longer these slumps go on, the harder it is to comeback. I think Duval's worked incredibly hard, but so did Baker-Finch, Ballesteros, Pavin and a lot of these guys that just fell off the map. You lose it, and the longer it takes you to get it back, the more likely you never will.

I agree with you. But Baker-finch couldn't get over the yips, Ballesteros quit practicing to be with his family. Pavin's still good but cant hit drives over 235 yards. Duvall went from #1- 600 in a moments notice, and everyone states he not into golf anymore. I wish him luck but if your not going to try then let someone who will into the tournament.

That is sad. He doubled the first, so he must have taken a 10 on the second.

Ouch. A 10 on #2 must have been hard to pull off, considering that there's not a ton of trouble on that hole. Very embarrassing for a once-great player.
