He has never shot lower than 70 in the first round of the Masters. It seems like his third round is the best and then his second round. Today's round is key for Tiger.
I made this ananolgy the other day, but he's the Seabiscuit of golf. He's always kind of lagging around the middle of the pack the first half of the race before making making his charge. Usually on the back nine on friday, he starts to make his move. He did it last year, and he did it again yesterday.

If you say so. I see a guy who was 5 back after 1 and is still 5 back after 2, hanging around par. He's still the favorite, of course, and while I'd never discount his chances, if he's still 5 back after today with 9 guys in front of him I'd start hedging my bets.
Well, at the end of play today, he's 3 under and 3 back...only three guys in front of him. Looking a little better.
I guess so. Campbell, Clark & Rocco... not exactly the "Murderers Row" of current professional golf. Well, there are a lot of guys still close. It should be a good finish tomorrow.

this analogy goes for a large number of tournament winners , not just tiger. Its rare to see the top 3 on friday win on sunday. Tiger 99-2000 was probably the only one to do so leading a tourney rnd 1 and having the pack draw further come sunday.but that now has changed for the moment.
